About
Built in the trades. Focused on operations.
Dominic Easterling founded Catalyst Strategy Solutions after years on job sites and shop floors, not from a consulting playbook. I bring floor knowledge, practical systems, and AI where it earns its keep.
Where I come from
I've worked the jobs.
I spent years in the trades before I ever stepped into consulting. I've worked the jobs, dealt with the chaos, and seen firsthand what happens when companies treat their people like replaceable parts. I also saw what happened at the places that got it right: lower turnover, better work, and owners who weren't chained to their phones seven days a week.
That's what I build now.
I live in the trades world. Retail turnarounds, well drilling, union stagehand work. I know what a crew needs and what a floor looks like when it's running clean versus when it's held together by one person who never gets a day off.
I also build AI systems. Agents that handle outreach and inbox triage, automation pipelines for scheduling and reporting, dashboards that surface field data in real time. Not theory. Running systems I use every day. But AI is a tool, not the whole pitch. The floor knowledge comes first.
Most companies aren't struggling because anyone stopped caring. The owners care. The people who helped build the place care. But the rock-solid leaders who held everything together got stretched too thin with no infrastructure to support them. Good workers either leave or start to shut down, not because they gave up, but because they stopped getting what they needed too.
When a company gets this right, maximum effort becomes the exception instead of the daily requirement. Problems aren't surprises. They're situations you've already planned for. You follow the plan, execute, and move on. Work stops feeling like survival and starts feeling like building something.
Where the work comes from
Same pattern, three floors.
Raise the standard, give people a voice, and push for systems that don't depend on one person remembering everything.
-
First job
Union stagehand
Long hours, inconsistent schedules, and a brotherhood culture that taught me what it means when a crew has your back.
-
Two and a half years
Assistant manager, retail turnarounds
Traveling to five or six locations that management had written off. I observed, built small processes, put people in their strengths, and turned stores around without blowing up what was working.
-
Since 2023
Well driller, mid-size Indiana contractor
85 to 100 employees, residential and commercial wells. Same pattern: raise the standard, give people a voice, and push for systems that don't depend on one person remembering everything.

Now

How I work with clients
Your business, not a playbook.
I don't hide behind degrees or case studies I've never lived. My hands are calloused from the work. I adapt to your business, not a single playbook from a big consulting firm.
Education is the catalyst for change. Most owners know something is off; they just don't have the tools or bandwidth to fix it while running the company. I do the heavy lifting: build the systems, document them, train your team, so you can coast on momentum instead of fighting fires every day.
The owners I work with aren't looking for corporate consultants who've never swung a hammer. They need someone who gets their world and can help them fix what's broken without blowing up what's working.
Let's have a conversation.
No pitch, no pressure, just a chance to talk about where you are and where you want to go.
